On Solidarity: India-Palestine and the Future of Decolonization

Magid Shihade and Sunaina Maira focus on the question of Palestine, through a discussion of the Israeli settler colony and its impact on native Palestinians, neighbouring Arabs, and the ramifications for Asia and Africa. The need for Third World unity to counter this Western colonial structure will be examined, as will the growing Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions movement around the world. The talk will also touch on Indian-Zionist alliances in the US as well as the involvement of diasporic South Asians in the Palestine solidarity movement.
