The Gurugram district court convicted 31 people and acquitted 117 others on 10th march, 2017. This was in connection to the Maruti Suzuki case, in which one person was killed and nearly hundred people were injured. Out of these 31, 13 have been convicted of murder. These 13 are the office bearers of the Union and were the main leaders of Maruti worker’s struggle. They have been implicated in the case and management witnesses have deposed against them. These workers were the ones who lead the movement, fighting for better working conditions in the Maruti plants.
This court judgement has been disastrous for the movement.

Can’t the workers even knock on the court’s door for justice?
