AAP Leader Receives Death Threat from Right-Wing

Mr. Khetan links the letter to his work during his journalism days when he had written extensively against right wing forces.

Ashish Khetan, a member of the Aam Aadmi Party, and Vice-Chairman of Delhi Development and Dialogue Commission, has been reportedly given death threat via a letter. This letter arrived yesterday, 12th May, at his office. The letter says that Ashish Khetan is anti-hindu and his days are numbered. Ashish Khetan said that he had received a similar letter in August, 2016 as well. He had filed a complaint with Delhi Police, but there was no action. Mr. Khetan links this letter to his work during his journalism days when he had written extensively against right wing forces. He said his reporting then led to arrests of memebers of hindutva organisations. He added that he has written reports on Dabholkar's murder case and revealed its connections with Sanatan Sanstha. Although, there is no official name of the sender on the letter but he believes it is one of these right wing anti-national organisations who have threatened him.

This morning, he filed an official complaint with Delhi Police. He has also sent letters to Home Minister, Rajnath Singh and Home secretary.
