Attack on Slaughterhouses has Larger Implications: Subhashini Ali

Newsclick spoke to Subhashini Ali, Polit Bureau member, CPI(M) about the tenure of recently elected Uttar Pradesh Chief minister Yogi Adityanath. She insists that by seeing the attacks on meat business as an attack on minorities, we are seeing a very small part of the picture. These attacks are affecting lakhs of people from Dalit and farmer communities also. She also said that the slaughter houses which have been shut down do not belong to any individual but to the municipal bodies or town areas. Ali tells that the weekly cattle markets in all districts of UP have come to a standstill in last 15 to 20 days
